Welcome back to our practice! We are looking forward to resuming patient care after the COVID-19 shutdown. We are taking certain precautions and are employing enhanced standards of protection to ensure the safety of our patients and team.

We will be screening for COVID-19 symptoms or possible exposures over the phone before patients come in. Screening will also occur upon presentation to the office, including taking your temperature.

Scheduling will be managed to allow physical distancing. Patients are to arrive at the time of their appointment, unaccompanied, and will be brought into the treatment area promptly. Only patients are permitted entry, except for specific situations. Please advise us of special situations prior to your appointment. A physical barrier has been placed at the reception desk. You will be asked to wash your hands or hand-sanitize upon entry, and a mask will be available for your use, should you prefer. The building management requires that you wear a mask or face covering when entering the lobby, in the elevator, and in other common areas such as the restrooms.

Dentists have already had extensive experience in managing infection risks from a variety of illnesses, from hepatitis to the flu, with solid practices in place to prevent cross-infection. What is different now is that COVID-19 is very infectious and there are a number of people out there who already have the disease or who are infectious and simply don’t have any symptoms. All patients will be required to rinse with a mild hydrogen peroxide solution upon entry to the treatment room.

You can expect to see increased personal protective equipment (PPE) as well as social-distancing. This is in response to the potential risk for our team members. We do not use equipment that creates aerosols, or droplets in the air, which is the chief concern in reopening dental offices.

If you have any questions or concerns, please let us know. In these difficult times, we wish to make your experience as positive and safe as we can. Our mission remains to provide comprehensive care in a caring environment.
